Gerard B. Schneller was born the youngest of eight children on November 11,1964, in St. Louis, MO. Gerry graduated from St Louis University High in 1983. He next attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he was a member of the Rugby team. He graduated from Marquette in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He then attended St. Louis University School of Law where he was a member of the National Moot Court Team, and graduated cum laude and awarded the honor of Order of the Woolsack, an award given to those who graduate in the top 10 percent of their law school class. He was admitted to the bar of the State of Missouri in 1990, and the State of Illinois in 1991.

During law school, Gerry spent 2 summers working for the Stolar Partnership in their civil litigation department. After graduating, he worked for the Stolar Partnership in the civil litigation department for one year.

Seeking more trial experience, Gerry took a job as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois from 1991 to 1995, working out of East St. Louis, IL. At the U.S. Attorney’s office, Gerry worked mainly in the criminal division handling a variety of federal felony cases. He received special recognition from the Department of Justice, DEA, Department of Treasury, and the Department of Forestry.

Since 1995, he has worked exclusively in handling the claims of injured workers and others suffering personal injury. In 2002, Gerry became a founding member of a nationally recognized trial firm. He remained at that firm until July of 2014.

He practices in the areas of FELA; Railroad Accidents and Injuries; Maritime/Jones Act; and Personal Injury. He has handled cases in over 20 states around the country and is admitted to practice in federal courts throughout the Midwest. He is a member of various legal organizations, including the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association; Missouri Bar Association, American Association for Justice; and Illinois State Bar Association.

Gerry resides in St. Louis, Missouri with his wife, Coleen, and children, Danny, Mary Grace, Abigail and Tommy. Gerry coaches youth soccer and is an assistant coach for the St Louis University High tennis team.
